What do you like on your peanut butter sandwich?

For starters, I like crunchy peanut butter best. But besides that, I think jelly is just too boring. My favorite additions are (not all at once, usually just one at a time):

Banana slices
Apple slices
Pear slices
Marshmallow fluff
Carrots
Celery
Mini pretzels
Bacon

All very good options, however I am a peanut butter purist. Only peanut butter in my sandwiches and nothing more! ;) :D

And absolutely nothing beats the taste of freshly ground organic peanut butter. Besides the superior taste it is far healthier for you as well, which is much more important. None of those additives and crap, much lower sodium content, it's all good baby. :cool:

Almost true, but I'd add chocolate. What I like to do is put peanut butter on both slices and put chocolate in the middle and then put it together and toast it. Mmmm... Can't do it too often though, as you might guess, it has a few calories ;)
 
ummmm... whens its not jelly (i know im a blasphemer :D) i normally put bannana slices or when im really lookin for something sweet I put a squirt of good ol' Aunt Jemima's syrup on it!!!!!!

When I wasn't veggie, a spicy pepperami I seem to remember went quite well. Also, when I was a kid, my mum would insist on the addition of salad to sandwiches, hence I don't mind sliced tomato because it reminds me of being a kid. But nice bread and good crunchy salty peanut butter is where it's at.

OK I might be able to take some syrup with my PB sandwich but not bacon or tomato :eek:
 
butttttter! ( yes with the penutBUTTER and jelly)

for all of you who wonder..there is NO butter in peanut butter so dont think its a double whammy!


sounds crazy but put just a little on and it will bring your sandwich to life!
 
really jelly... not that fruit flavored sugar.

I also like honey, pb and h!

Oh, and it also has to be natural peanut butter... not that stuff with more chemicals than peanuts.
