I miss double tapping to get to my favorites. And I gate that EVERY app I use shows up in the multitasking menu even if I didn't want it to "multitask". I think it should only show up there if I double tap home

gmail does not seem to be pushing. Also, the unified email inbox has some strange glitches, delete an email in gmail but it still shows up in the unified, or vice versa.

I hate the calculator icon..It doesnt fit with the scheme of the os..I wish they went back to the first one

Also the photos are all arranged by date and starts from the bottom.I had all my photos organized by name and arranged by that..now its all funky

Plus all the icons just look a little weird too.

How do you get no wallpaper now.Do I got to make a blank black image to have nothing show up?

more to come lol.

i hate that it pretty much bricked my iphone 3g and so now i'm stuck with havin to borrow my mom's iphone 3gs until thursday =/ thankfully she's on vacation this week but not a good way to start the week.

12 apps per folder, they could of easily added a scrolling feature for folders so they could hold unlimited amount of apps. Pretty stupid having 3 "Games" folders.

The fact that all my contacts, calendar events and emails are gone and am unable to access any of them.

Great job guys.

No SMS Custom Alerts

I was hoping for custom SMS alerts. We have 4 iphones in the house and everybody likes the same alert. I thought it could have been an easy change.

Are you talking about Gmail through Gmail Sync (i.e. Exchange)? It's been working fine for me.

I really don't have anything that I don't like about the new OS. The digital zoom, faster shutter speed, multitasking, separate wallpapers for lock/home screens, rotation locking... they are all awesome.

[EDIT] There _is_ one thing I wish were added. Separate signatures for multiple e-mail accounts!

I don't like how I don't even have the option for a black wallpaper, which is what I want, and now I have to go out and get myself a 320*480 black jpg :p

I turned on Character count but I do not see the count anywhere

Limit to 12 Apps in a folder is a bummr'

No New Alert Sounds - Borrrring

Battery is draining quicker - Not sure what is causing this might just be me

I wish there was a way to turn off Multi-Tasking and Folders are nice but every time I pick up an icon and move it near a folder it tries to create a new folder instead of just letting me place it somewhere.

I'm running an iPod Touch 3G and just installed 4.0, my only complaint so far is that it automatically compressed all my photos and I see no option in iTunes or iPhoto to include the full res version so now when I'm on the go and want to show people photos from my wedding, for example, they all look really really bad. Is there a way around this? or is this some ridiculous limitation of the new OS, pretty upset about it right now.

--EDIT--

Read another post just now that says I should re-sync a few times and the photos will eventually auto-adjust themselves back to normal. Hope that works.

That's it's not compatible with the hardwired iPhone/iPod adapter in my car. I just get an error that says the 'Device is not compatible'.

Hopefully they manufacturer releases a firmware update soon....

I second this. I jumped in my car today and my USB car radio recognizes my iPhone and charges it, yet won't play any music. I'm definitely not happy about this and hope they fix it SOON.

What do you NOT like in iOS4?

Even though there are many positive things, what about those negatives?

- Having to quit out of every app once I load it in multi-tasking.
- My 3GS is not that fast now
- You can only store 12 APP's in a folder

What about you guys?

I find my 3Gs is faster than with 3.x Faster in accessing applications, camera, photoshop mobile. Works great!

I'm a little confused as to why you want to quit apps in multitasking? just let them sit in the background. They are frozen and don't take up much if any additional memory. CPU usage is near nill.

Resync all of your photos to the Touch. Uncheck sync photos. Then sync again turning it back on. It will re-optimize your photos for iOS4.

"it" didn't brick your phone.

Did you do a complete back up prior to updating? The back up is part of the install but you should have done so prior. If so, just restore.

I also hate that. It should only show the apps that are actually multitasking and most still don't yet. Nor most keep in a saved state. I guess it will improve in time with more updates.

I also wish I could just swipe them out instead of holding then deleting.

I turned on Character count but I do not see the count anywhere

It works for me but doesn't show up until the second line of typing whether you are in landscape or portrait.

I believe you need to reach 50 characters before it will display.

I've loaded and installed 4.0 on my 3GS. Except for a re-sizing of my background pic, I don't see a difference anywhere! Nothing different in settings, nothing different in appearances. Nothing.

I've rebooted it, still nada. WTF did I do wrong?
