Petey

i named mine peter.

My MBP is named Petey - in honor of Peter DeLuise. Even my tech guys (Windows guys who don't understand naming your computer) know who I'm talking about when I talk about Petey.

When not using his formal name, I tend to say, "my laptop".

I call it my "Apple branded macbook pro that i paid 2000 dollars for". I just want to make sure everyone in the vicinity knows that I'm a conceited pretentious prick

I have a 13" MacBook Pro and I call it MacBook, Laptop, Computer the term Mac is less used
On a general not deep-specified discussion with a tech aware person I call it MacBook since I got used to it and i feel that "MacBook Pro" is a bit tooly to me, It's not a big thing, They'res nothing wrong with it, It's not as tooly as saying "My Dell Inspiron 9242173712 With Unicon Powder Ram"
And I call it laptop or even Mac Laptop to anyone else that isn't very tech aware but knows what those things are

I have names for all of my Apple gear:

MacBook Pro - Chris Knight
iMac - Mitch Taylor
iPhone 4 - Lazlo Holyfield
Mac mini SL Server - Professor Hatahaway
:apple:TV - Jordan

Also, do any of you ever have a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?

No?

Why am I the only one who has that dream?

I call my MBP a notebook or sometimes a laptop. "Oh hey, let me get my Macbook Pro real quick." just sounds silly.

I call it sir Bob Gerard III
while not using it, I place it on a throne that I crafted out of a solid block of aluminum.

"I'm going to bring my MacBook Pro with me." = Too much to say.
"I'm going to bring my Mac with me." = People think it's an iMac.
"I'm going to bring my laptop with me." = People know what I'm referring to.
"I'm going to bring my notebook with me." = They will ask why I'm bringing paper.
