[begin rant] Besides a few of the regular posters, mostly school kids who just got Macs from mommy or daddy recently and who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to Apple history or product innovations and have never even seen the rainbow Apple logo. [/end rant]

Even if a complete thought, that certainly isn't a complete sentence. And what was that someone mentioned about arrogance?

I've seen the rainbow Apple logo up close in front of me many times. Usually while saying "Oh no no no no no... Don't <sosumi> you <sosumi> crash <sosumi> you <sosumi> little <sosumi> ***... ****! You little ******* ***!"

I'm a school kid who just got a mac recently.

But I also own an Apple IIc, as well as a Macintosh Classic.

Also, I'm a regular poster.

So what does that make me.

Actually, one of the more classic cases of projecting that I've seen in quite some time.

Definition of Psychological projection: In psychology, psychological projection (or projection bias) is a defense mechanism in which one attributes ("projects") to others, one’s own unacceptable or unwanted thoughts or/and emotions. Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the unwanted subconscious impulses/desires without letting the ego recognize them. The theory was developed by Sigmund Freud and further refined by his daughter Anna Freud.
Just thought I'd translate to keep things moving; and so us more uninformed members know what the hell you're talking about  :)

Maybe I never have owned anything with the Apple rainbow logo, but I have owned (in order...)

- 5 Commodore PET's (one 4032 bought new in 1980, four bought years later at a school surplus auction)
- 1 300bps Acoustic-Coupled (suction-cupped) modem
- 1 of the first BBS's in my entire area code
- 1 Commodore 64
- 1 Atari 400
- 1 Amiga 500
- 1 Amiga 2000 (w/ original GVP A3001+ 68030 @ 25MHz board!)
- 1 Apple iBook G4
- 6 iPod's

Please note that I have also NEVER owned...

- Any Windows-compatible PC
- Any version of the Windows OS
- Any PC software made by Microsoft (excluding Microsoft Office Mac 2004)

It is not necessary to have owned an Apple //+ or to have in-depth knowledge of System 7 in order to appreciate the amazing user experience that OSX has become. Chances are in twenty years we won't even recognized today's operating systems. Even Steve Jobs and Jef Raskin had a first computer once.

Eh? Is "projecting" not a common term? I assumed anyone vaguely literate would know....

WRONG! You owned AmigaBasic. :) Anyway, your computing history is somewhat similar to mine...plus I agree with your statement....
