Was looking at this video, very funny and very well explained.

It really shows how Craig was really put on the spot and wiped some sweat off both sides of his face when Face ID failed. Craig is really cool, I like how he brushed it off like nothing going to the fallback of the passcode.. but I wonder what he did after...

YEa...You expect from him to be cool at this kind of situations.

He could have said that he can't use faceid because it needs to be enabled with the passcode and it's better to grab a back up...But he reacted ...in that way and the internet went crazy xD

I imagine he's just been kicking himself. These things happen, but unfortunately his reaction wasn't great, and that little bit of fluster led people to draw their own conclusions.

If he'd been a bit better prepared and able to talk people through what was happening ("ah, this phone needs me to enable face ID first with my passcode, let me just enter that and try again.."), probably nobody would have though anything of it.

He probably just joined the marketing team and got baked in high sierra.

I think all the executives were under pressure that day, probably due to the GM leak that disclose pretty much EVERYTHING Apple was going to show. Craig and especially Phil looked really nervous. Tim Cook probably channeled some Jobs fury before he keynote.

I'm surprised he just didn't realize Face ID needed to be enabled. A failed attempt would have jiggled and said try again.

Seems he was really nervous, panicked and actually thought Face ID may have failed. Or maybe he didn't know the passcode for the first phone? Either way he could have laughed it off and said jokingly Face ID needs to be enabled etc.

I think this video is a bit overblown...I mean we all know why it failed (had to be enabled first). People were skeptical already so they are latching onto this minor oops on stage as justifying their concerns with FaceID.

He was just nervous and I would hope no one got fired over this.

Have a look:
the faceid did fail, and I expect Craig F "at least" got extremely angry for whoever prepared for this. I think no matter what they do even cheating, that should never happens on the stage. If this was done by Jobs, I expect that whole team got fired.

Seriously, this is stupid. From what I have read and seen, it looks like faceid is gonna be pretty damn reliable.

I'm imagining that two days after launch and reviews punch in, this moment will be forgot.

This isn't Apple maps here.

Though I wouldn't be shocked if someone got canned the second he walked back behind that curtain.
