What do you think of this Apple Watch Combo?

After the latest keynote and the reveal of the prices my hopes of getting the SS Apple Watch were dashed. No way am I spending nearly £900 on the SS with link bracelet, so I turned to the Sports.

I initially wanted The Space Grey with black strap:

However, after some thought I have found my perfect combo:

Basically I plan to order the silver aluminium watch with a coloured band (possibly white) and order the black sports band separately. I will then use the silver body and black strap combo, and maybe consider breaking out the white band when on holiday etc.

What do you think of the Silver aluminium/black strap combo? I think it looks awesome.

It looks awesome, but I'll go opposite direction. I'll order a Space Grey and additional white band so I can have a Space Grey front with a white band. Yum!

I agree. Its possible that you may be able to select the silver aluminium body with a black strap when its time to order, but at the moment there is no suggestion that its going to be an option.

Unfortunately, I have a sneaky feeling that we'll only be able to order what combinations we can see in the online store at the moment

I'm probably going to pre-order a 38mm Sport with a white band, then go into a physical store after the rush of launch week to see if I can try it with a Milanese Loop. If it looks OK, I'll probably get that as a second band. If not, I'll get a black Sport band at some point down the line.

You think? I like the silver and black combo, I think it gives it quite a classic watch look. Many watches from the past had silver chassis and black straps.

Just remember there will be a stark constrast between the render and reality. All renders are mat, but in reality they are silver and very reflective. (or is this the steel version?)

That's the Stainless model, which is a completely different field. The Sport's case would look like the back of the current iPhones and iPads.

Why would the aluminum model in silver and the black sport band not be shown "because they don't look good together" if they are selling the silver SS with the black sport band?

Wouldn't it look pretty similar, but a little less shiny?

I was going to go with the space gray Sport up until today....now I'm definitely going to go with the stainless steel with the black sport band. Well...unless I change my mind to something else again. lol

I actually think the aluminum is going to look a lot different than people think. All of the videos I have seen make it look much "cheaper" than the renders.
