Just curious how do you post wirelessly?

Anyway I think the Macbook already has a express card slot, it is called the Macbook Pro. You can also buy Applecare for laptops cheaply from American sellers on eBay.

I use 3G, Im on the 3 network in Ireland.
Its quite crap, you cant access any website you want just the 'best of the web'.
You cant even go to google but you can go to macrumors.

Bring back the 12'' PowerBook as a 12'' MacBook Pro.....I'd buy it as my next Mac to replace my Mac Mini and iBook G4...if they don't I'll be using my iBook g4 for a while longer.

For the MacBook Pro as similar set up for RAM and Harddrive as the MacBook

For the 12'' MacBook Pro make it has its own GPU(equal to what ever the 15'' has) Price it at 1499, and have only 2 MacBook Models. Make the over all line up

999 MacBook 2Ghz White
80Gb Harddrive, 1Gb RAM
1099 MacBook 2Ghz Black
120Gb Harddrive, 1Gb RAM

12'' MacBook Pro 2.33Ghz
120Gb Harddrive, 1Gb RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 128MB SDRAM
1499

15" MacBook Pro-1999
160Gb, 1Gb RAM, 2.33Ghz ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 256MB SDRAM

17'' MacBook Pro-2499
160Gb, 2Gb of RAM, 2.33Ghz ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 256MB SDRAM

SuperDrives on all model minus the 999 MacBook

For everyone who wants a 12inch pro,do you just want allthe features in a smaller size?

They should have a slotloading drive that accepts 8cm discs.
Wii has one so its possible.

I think BlueRay/HD-DVD would be a bad idea because of the battery life and the fact that the drives are expensive , A slot loading blueray drive would be even more expensive.

you know those small mini projectors? It would be cool if some company could incorparate one of them into a laptop, Maybe an idea for a new type of mod book?

Oh yes, I want a optical drive slot that is only 1" wide, but it has to accept full sized CDs.

I am sure there is some quantum physics brains in the employ of Apple who can come up with a new cutting edge device that warps space in the vicinity of the drive slot such that a 5" CD can fit into a 1" slot.

MBP 15", 2.6 Ghz (or at least 2.4), X2600 512MB, 160GB HDD, 2GB 800Mhz RAM standard, upgradeable to 4GB, higher res screen, Leopard, iLife '07, plenty of internal Flash storage.

i think any 12" macbook pro with specs like that will sell for significantly higher. $1799 maybe?

I disagree. They look to be pretty crappy specs to me.

I believe the 2.33 Ghz chip is being dissolved however with the Santa Rosa refresh, to be replaced by 2.4
So, it would probably have either a 2.2 or 2.4 Ghz C2D in it.
Of course the MBP's are going to have 1 GB of RAM. RAM is cheap now, especially 512MB sticks. It would almost be worth expecting standard 4GB on the 17".
120 GB HDD? So what? That's small!
And, um, the GPU is still crap. And it is only going to drop in price, seeing as AMD will bring out superceding models before this refresh is likely to take place. I think it's more likely there will be an X2400 or something in there.
I think US$1499 is quite reasonable.

But then again, I don't care about the 12-13" MBP. All I care about is the machine outlined in my last post.
