Use a Razer Death Adder
Braided cord and Gold plated USB connection FTW

Trackpad 90% of the time. It is such the ease to use with the multi-touch features that I'm not wanting to use anything else!

Otherwise (for gaming purposes) I'm using my Logitech MX518. Still going strong after 4+ years of heavy use

I figure I will be gaming on my 15" core i7 2.66ghz 500gb 7200rpm hdd mbp. So I bought one of the best, if not the BEST gaming mouse on the market today (overall ratings were amazing for this mouse). Looks nice, feels nice, plus it has a blue LED glowing logo that pulses on the palm area as well as the scroll wheel. So in the dark it looks very flashy with my mbp backlit keyboard ;)

good mouse, but definitely not the best on the market.

I use the trackpad, but if i'm gaming or doing any photoshop for extended periods of time, I use a razer imperator.

Horrible poll options. Bias much?

No actually, I have NO idea why... but I put mouses I was considering buying! Pretty weird huh? I don't know why... but I don't feel like spending 150$ on a mouse. But thanks for being such a great person! If you were smarter maybe you could realize that I put the options I was considering!

Dear OP,

Your choices are clearly biased. Smarten up.

Regards,

Abstract

I happen to be what you'd consider "smart". I am in 8th grade, and last year I got a 26 on the ACT. I also am a member of MENSA. I also can take apart a computer and put it back together again. But no biggie there...

I put the options I was considering. You smarten up. You could have figured out that those were the options I was considering by reading my first post!

No offence mate, but don't come across as so big headed, people don't like that. And when you grow up, you'll soon realise all the above means jack crap.

I know... but I am really sick and have been out all day with my mom and I came home expecting nice answers but of course there is always the haters out there who sit in their mom's basement criticizing everyone else. Oh well.

So why not tell us what you want to do with your computer? If you are going to play games or use PS etc then you'll need a mouse. If it's for general use then the trackpad is excellent.
And don't get so hung up on Apple's magic mouse, I like many others hate it, many others like it. It REALLY is up to YOU if you like it or not. Don't ask people on here as it really is a love it or hate it thing.

I think you should try the trackpad for a while before deciding if you want to shell out more for a mouse. the trackpad really is excellent.

I use my trackpad. It's great, and I couldn't fathom using a MBP without multitouch...

Which brings me to my next point. If I didn't use the mouse for some odd reason, I'd use the Magic Mouse for the multitouch.

Personally, I don't know why someone would use a mouse instead of the trackpad on a Mac laptop (except for gaming, I guess). It's fantastic and far superior to most others on the market. Plus, a mouse is just an extra thing to carry around, and I don't have a reason to carry an extra gadget around when I have a trackpad like my MBP's :).

I use the trackpad for everything, including quite a bit of simple graphic design work. The multitouch is just fantastic. If I need finer control in Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro or Illustrator, I use my trusty old Wacom Intuos2 tablet.

For gaming I'll probably use my Logitech MX Revolution that's on my desktop PC. But mostly I game on my desktop PC anyway :)

Thanks Everyone! I have decided I will use the trackpad because I don't have to carry around a mouse (i travel a lot) thanks!
