What do you use for designing icons for your apps?

Hi all!

As the title says, I'm wondering what you people use for designing the icons for your apps? I recently finished my first app and although its nothing I will publish to the AppStore, I would still like to learn/practice creating and designing my own app icon for future projects. How do you do this?

Pencil and paper, once I have the design I like I scan it in and use a combination of either illustrator or photoshop.

I recommend Graphic formerly iDraw. It's 30 dollars on the Mac AppStore, great value and intuitive. If you are looking for something free try Inkscape.

I use a combination of sketch and illustrator for icon apps.

I use Photoshop. I also have Affinity Designer, but surprisingly found Ps easier to learn.
