Top left to lock my Mac.

My last company was hot on security. If you forgot to lock your Mac/pc you‘d get your wallpaper changed to some embarrassing image. A half naked David Hasselhoff was fave!

Bottom left mission control.

find it less cumbersome than using spaces.

Do hot corners still exist? I used them initially in list 2010 or so but stopped shorter after and never used them again.
I find them extremely useful.

By the way, I'm also coming from a 2008 24" iMac, which I intend to retire.

Are you going to keep using yours, or are you doing away with it?

Bottom right corner - lock the screen. Like others have said, my company is security conscious. If I bring one of my Mac laptops into the office after the "work from home full time" period ends, I want an easy way to lock the screen.

Do you find that faster than the thumb+three-finger pinch gesture?

Edit - I meant three-finger-swipe-up. Dunno what I was thinking mixing up Launchpad & Mission Control

I used to use HotKeys for Mission Control, and Applications Window.

However, I've since changed them because you can use all fingers and thumb pinch to access applications, and 4 fingers up (on the trackpad, obviously) to invoke Mission Control.

And I agree; I love Hot Corners.

Mission control hot corner shows the desktop thumbnails. Four-finger swipe (4 finger pinch does Launchpad on my system) just shows the desktop names.
Thanks. I'd mixed up Launchpad (four-pinch) with Mission Control (three-finger-swipe-up) for some reason.

Anyway, I tried the hotkey for Mission Control and it looks the same as when I do the three-finger-swipe-up.

*shrug*.

Top left to enable screen saver. That's all I use.
Something I don't really understand is why people still use screen savers at all. Just have the screen turn off. Saves power. I guess it could be an aesthetic but I haven't used a screen saver in over a decade. It is always one of the first things I turn off when I set up a new Mac.

I leave it on but have the timer set longer than sleep. That way. Just in case something prevents sleep after I walk away. The screensaver will be running. Although something preventing sleep seems to be more of a Windows issue.

Hot corners has made my life easy on the Mac, I have been using this configuration for years. My standard configuration on every computer I use is (I use only Macs):

Top left: Screensaver

Top right: Mission Control

Bottom left: Show desktop

Bottom right: Application Windows
