I use mine primarily for email, browsing, FB/Twitter, remote control. Here's what I use to do these things (and more):
-'Social' stuff: FB/Twitter combination = HootSuite, + either FB through Safari or Friendly. Chatting is on IM+.
-Gaming: boy oh boy, Scrabble is addictive! Then there's Mirror's Edge, Uno HD, Cut the rope, Chopper2 (+iPhone4 as remote)...
-News reading: if I want to keep up with the latest news I launch one of the many apps by newspapers.
-Weather checking: if I want to go somewhere or just want to know what the weather's gonna be, I use Weather Pro or Intellicast HD.
-Remote: I almost always watch TV/movies through my iMac so the Rowmote makes for an awesome remote control app.
-'Creative' stuff: transfer photos from iPhone4 to the iPad (Photo Transfer App), PhotoShop Express, drawing/writing in Penultimate,...
-Music: I use it as a music player as well, duh. And connected to the TV/stereo for concert videos.
-Videos: Away from home I use it to watch tv shows and movies. Depending where I am in the house, I hook it up to my TV as well.
-Web browsing/email: so nice to do it from the couch! No more heavy MacBook on my lap, nice.
-NZB: Bookmark folder in Safari with my favorite NZB RSS feeds. Set up SabNZB for iPad access--> remotely add NZB to Sab :-D
-...
That's about it. So I guess it gets used enough to be worth it's money.
