General: iCal, Firefox & various little helpers

Mainly I use my MacBook for checking Mail (Apple's app plus FirstClass), heavy web browsing, occasionally on iChat (rarely video conferencing), iCal, and iTunes. So my applications that are almost always open are:
  • Mail
  • FirstClass
  • Safari
  • iChat
  • iCal
  • iTunes

But at school we are trying to convince the administration to approve the budget to install a MacPro in the theatre. We do enough presentation work, audio work and recording in their to warrant having one, plus we need a computer that can power at least 2 displays.

Apps I use daily:
- Safari & Mail (the first to open in the morning)
- Photoshop (CS3)
- iTunes

Weekly basis:
- Firefox
- Firefox/XP
- IE 6 & 7
- WinXP (VMWare Fusion)
- Smultron (Dreamweaver is just way too big and dumb for me)
- Transmit
- Flash CS3
- Illustrator CS3

I'm sure there's one two others...

Safari, Mail, iCal, iTunes, Address Book etc.

iPhoto, Final Cut, Garageband all get occasional use.

More than my XP machine which is just a gaming platform for me.

It's my main computer

Writing - MS Word for Mac
iTunes - Set up for iPod
Safari - Internet surfing
Mail - For email
iCal - for scheduling
DVD drive - for watching movies
Card Games - only gaming of interest these days
Address Book - for keeping up with family and other contacts

Fun/Personal:
Safari
Mail
iTunes
Porn
QuickTime Pro (Waste of money BTW)

College:
iWork
MicroSoft Office 2008
