I think we can all agree that Apple is taking the slow and steady approach to Apple TV+. Assuming the quality persists as they find their groove, their slate of content looks exciting.
As far as what they procure or produce, what kind of shows and movies do you want to see?
I think it would be wicked if they produced the “Codex Alera” series by Jim Butcher, beginning with “Furies of Calderon”.
It is a sprawling epic with fantastic characters that begs to be translated to the cinematic world. Part of “Codex Alera”, the story has immense potential for diversity, genre bending, and production design. The story of the main character, Tavi, gave me the strength growing up to be myself in-spite of rising odds. I felt alone in my small town world, and stories like this helped me see beyond the fog of intolerance.
While not as popular as some series, and honestly the result of a dare, the story has the potential to be translated to an insanely cinematic show; think Game of Thrones meets Avatar: The Last Airbender.
