What does a Water Sensor do in a Macbook?

    Most likely used for warranty purposes. I don't think Apple will cover water damage so when the sensor is tripped. Apple will know it has seen water.

    Just my guess

    is there a pic of this so called water sensor? I'm thinking maybe it's just a myth.. :eek:

    Yea, most likely the little white sticker that turns red and tells you "out of warranty." when you're not. :mad:

    It tells you if it's raining, or if you're standing under something blocking the rain.

    It can also tell you when it's not wet. ;)

    the macbook seals the floodgates when it detects a water hazard. closes chamber 1 first then moves throughout the notebook closing all the chambers etc..
