What does Apple Care cover? Macbook Pro Early 2015

Specifically, does it cover viruses? I'm very worried I actually uhh, used my macbook for a recreational activity and now I'm just worried. I accidentally clicked an ad and have since experienced minor issues. My Mac froze the other day and the day before I opened it up and the screen wouldn't wake up. No matter what I did. I mean, I DID end up just closing and opening it again and that worked, but I'm still ever-so paranoid.
