When I type "diskutil partitiondisk" command in terminal, it tells me: "(Re)Partition an existing disk. All volumes on this disk will be destroyed.". Does it mean the volumes will be converted into one and formatted or does it mean they'll be converted into one but keeping the data?

The meaning of "destroyed" is ambiguous :)

As in inaccessible or irretrievable. The data will be no more for you to access.

Physically, the data remain, but that they need to restore the right software. What I do not advise it. Since fully restore fail.

If you can establish the meaning of "stroyed" then destroyed would be the reverse. :p
