What does 'macrumors 6502' actually mean?

I've noticed below my name in posts it says 'macrumors 6502', for a while now since I was promoted from being a newbie. But what does '6502' mean? I've search the forum FAQs wiki thingy and didn’t find anything.

The numbers come from the increasingly powerful microprocessors used in Apple computers over the years. The 6502 and 658xx are from the Apple II family, 680x0 were used in early Macintosh systems, 601 and beyond are PowerPC chips.

In Safari 4, type "6502" into the Google box and see what happens.
