What does mean this icon?

The other day I saw this little icon over the mail icon, anyone knows what does it mean?

It's the Continuity icon: tapping will continue the Mail session from your phone on your iPad. It basically shows up for in-use apps that support continuity and which are installed on two or more devices or Macs.
