Hello all,

on an iPhone 6S which otherwise performs very well so far, I have today observed something strange in the battery usage statistics, 'Settings' showing 13 minutes of usage (which reflects my actual usage) but with additional 58 minutes of background activity.

At least I have never observed similar behavior before, which is why I am now curious what the Settings app might do there in the background. That is even more time than Facebook is active on my device ;)

Any ideas?

Cheers,
nabla

Have you updated to the latest os? It may be downloading updates in the background. Another possibility is that it started an iCloud backup and was unplugged before it could finish.

Oh, sorry I forgot to mention. Yes, updated to 9.1 which is shown as being the latest version, and iCloud backups have always been turned off.
