On the control center of my iphone 7 plus, there is a square in the top left corner that contains four buttons with symbols. They are Bluetooth, Wifi, Airplane Mode, and one right beside Airplane Mode that looks like a stick with waves propagating from it that I do not understand. Can someone explain what it's for? Thanks.

Edit: Some deeper searching and reading seems to indicate it is a lock to allow or prevent the phone from using cellular service to access the internet, presumably because cell service could end up being very expensive if not monitored closely.
