While trying to move information from an external hard drive to my time capsule on my MBP, this happened:
Finder took a long time with a color wheel
Activity Monitor revealed that it was a non-responsive process

After force quitting Finder Process, Finder would not restart.
Turned computer off, and back on, and it worked.

Any chance this is the infamous "Kernal Panic?" It is the only error I have had in my 2 weeks with my MBP.

This is a Kernel Panic:

You didn't have a kernel panic, you just had an unresponsive process.
