What does this quotation mean?

What does "hitting my head on the top bunk bed" mean? I laughed when I first read it, because I thought I read "hitting my head on the bed headboard" and that it had a sex connotation. But "top bunk bed"?

When she makes up the bed on the bottom part of the bunk bed, she hits her head when standing up. She probably does it often and speaks of the irony of it happening so often. Like, you'd think I would learn!

I interpret it as her roundabout and funny way of saying "I hate ironing". She'd rather cause herself great pain until she faints.

Like saying, the only thing I would prefer over eating brussels sprouts is rat poison.
