Today I noticed an "A" in the status bar where the T-mobile usually is. Also in Settings>General>About it says network.... A. See screen shot. Does anyone know what this means?

If there's someone in the ams area that has a T-Mobile phone or tablet, check and see if their device has the same display. If so, it might be a network setting that's off (or, you're roaming).

If not, you might need a new SIM.

What happens if you go into Cellular data and turn it off? Does the indicator revert to "iPad?"

That's weird, I wonder if "VH Public Wi-Fi" has anything to do with it? Is your iPad playing Hot for Teacher on a continuous loop?

:)

Well, not sure what changed but today it is back to "T-Mobile" in the status bar. Thanks for all the "so helpful" and entertaining replies.
