I know it preserves ownership and permissions. How about extended attributes, Labels, Spotlight comments, Locked/Unlocked, Hide Extension, and Open With?

I've only restored my computer from a Time Machine backup once. But if I recall correctly, if you've been backing up your entire hard drive then everything should be kept intact. The only thing that I think was missing was my custom folders I'd applied to Finder and maybe a preference file for Speed Download.
