Hey, I was just wondering what your total comes to with taxes and everything if you have the lowest iphone plan. I am going to switch to at&t and want to make sure it's around my old verizon bill which was a total of about $65 a month. Thanks !

Here's the summary of my bill from last month, 450 minute plan with data + 1500 text messages:

Monthly Service Charges 69.99
Usage Charges 0.00
Credits/Adjustments/Other Charges 2.50
Government Fees and Taxes 5.97
TOTAL CURRENT CHARGES $78.46

Includes NJ state taxes as well as any Federal taxes/charges.

I am confused, your monthly service charges are $69.99. Do you have the cheapest plan of $59.99 ? Because isn't the unlimited data thing apply to all plans?

Winds up around $35 each month :)

I'm on the prepaid plan, and I don't talk or text all that much. And now, I have the unlimited EDGE with that, so life is just peachy :D

I pay $111 a month for 900 min and unlimited text and data.. i use my iphone as my primary phone so i need the extra minutes... and in my industry texting is common place...

Great Post!
I am currently with Sprint and am going to switch to AT&T soon. It will be nice to know what I'm getting into. I was previously with AT&T when they were TDMA, I split when they were switching to GSM b/c of the limited coverage in my area. Now, it's a different story!
My bills with AT&T were pretty good and they didn't rape me on taxes and other fees. I CANNOT say the same about Sprint. DAMN!!!
I am looking at Family Plan with 2 iPhones, 1400 minutes, and adding more texts than the standard 200 (what's with that?!) Any info would be great.

Thanks,

I was with Verizon previously and had a Treo. DATA CHARGES WERE OUTRAGEOUS!!! It was my biggest incentive to switch to AT&T and the iPhone. My current bill is $63.08/month. I have 450 Minutes, 200 Texts Messages and Unlimited Data.

that's not to bad. my current monthly bill with verizon is ~$52 w/200 text and 450 mins. so an extra ~$10 for unlimited data sounds lovely. can't wait to switch over when apple drops the megaton.

$86.93

I'm doing the $79.99 plan with nothing added. This is the lowest fee over the advertised price I've had with any carrier. T-Mobile was something like $18 over the advertised price (with a $40 plan!)

I'm currently on Verizon and with my corporate discount my bill is $41/mo average. I plan on getting the iPhone with the low-end package (Nation 450 w/ Rollover + 200 text/data). My math (including company discount) comes to $49, pre-taxes. So I'm looking at about $15 more a month.

Just paid mine yesterday, was $69.35. Smallest plan, with date plan and no text messaging. Wish it were cheaper that's for sure, lol, but after seeing what other people are paying, I'm doing alright I guess...

question

Do the iphone plans allow for free mobile to mobile calls/text under the AT&T network?

Thanks for this thread.

now to my question that i should be able to find on the ATT website but can't: When do "nights" start and end? Do all minutes rollover or is it just peak or nights and weekends. Also, are the only text options the 200 included, 1500 additional, or unlimited? I'd like to see an option between 200 and 1500, but hey they didn't ask me how the plan should be structured.

Thanks ladies and gents!

Thanks for this thread.

Nights/weekends start at 9PM and end at 6am. So for a weekend that would begin at 9PM on Friday and end at 6am on Monday. You can add 7PM nights/weekends for 9.99 I believe (Or maybe it was 6PM ... I can't remember).

Do all minutes rollover or is it just peak or nights and weekends.

Just your peak ... and they expire after 1 year. So for me for this month my extra peak minutes get added to the my pool and what was added a year ago gets taken away.

For me I usually hover around 1000 +- 200 rollover minutes.

Also, are the only text options the 200 included, 1500 additional, or unlimited? I'd like to see an option between 200 and 1500, but hey they didn't ask me how the plan should be structured.

No other options are available from what I can understand.

Thanks ladies and gents!

Your welcome :D
