My car has a USB-A connector that I use to connect the phone to CarPlay. Anyone know what the best USB-A/USB-C dongle would be so I can continue to charge/use CarPlay in my car?

Also, anyone know if/when Apple will have USB-C cables with USB3 speeds? All their cables seem to be limited to USB2 speeds right now, even the 240W cable.

Apple wants u to use the new Thunderbolt 4 cable they released today for faster speeds.

Just buy a USB c cable from Amazon. It will be way cheaper than buying dongels.

I charge my ipad pro with just about any USB-C cable. Don’t get ripped off or waste money on expensive cables and dongles. The only exception is thunderbolt 3 cables for max data transfer speeds.

Apple already sell a USB-C cable that can do 3.0 speeds. Problem is, it can also do 40Gbps thunderbolt so it costs £75! Amazon have ones for £9.99.

There are plenty of USB-A to USB-C cables out there on Amazon. Just get one, as USB-A does not support fast charge or anything, you could just grab the cheapest one.

I’ve been using a noname USB-A to lightning cable in my USB-A-only car for years without any problems until I got a new car with USB-C this summer.
