What effect will this have on MBP 2010s?

Are MBPs from 2010 (or prior) likely to go down in price/be on clearance in certain stores, etc?

For sure and they will probably be a better deal for alot of people than the new ones. Check Apple Insider price list from various places. it may take a few days to a week to see price drops on the old models.

I just bought the (2010) base 15" with antiglare/hi-res from the refurb store for about $1500 after tax with my EPP discount.

Any idea if Apple retail stores will still be selling brand new (2010) models for a discount? And how much discount? I am wondering if I could get a smilar deal today at a store, and not have to wait until next week for shipping.

Thanks man! I was trying to buy that one and they sold out, it was removed from my cart before I could finish checkout! lol

And for the OP, the base refurb model 15 (2.4 i5) was 1377 shipped overnight. $1269 before tax and shipping. Friggin awesome deal if you ask me.
