I have a question for those who use the equalizers... I've found that the newer iPods I've purchased e.g. Nano and 5g... don't have as good of a bass response as my 3g iPod or even the Nano, so I've been using the Hip-hop eq. My question is, do the eq settings apply to the line out as well... I want to start using my 5g in the car, but I don't want to worry about changing the eq settings everytime I hop in the car. Thanks

Good thought, too bad it isnt true. If you wanted to hear how the music really was recorded and meant to be heard you need to go out and buy some nice stereo monitors (Genlec or the like) for about $5000 for the pair. Then you can really hear what it was supposed to sound like. 😛

That said, i use a variant of the rock preset for my PB speakers, and use another slightly diff variant when playing back on my home stereo.

Good point 😱 I have a pair of logitech speakers (z-2200). It's a good 2.1 system for music listening. But they aint no professional studio monitors, that's for sure.

I have a 4G and on mine, yes, the iPod EQ settings apply to the line out as well.
