What ever happened to the External TB Graphics card?

    I was hoping they would release them but haven't heard anything. Did they release them, or are there any available for sale?

    TB is just not fast enough to feed a reasonably fast GPU.

    It's plenty fast enough for an external GPU if you're not gaming on it or doing something crazy. There's definitely potential uses for which it would be quite fine.

    That said, I don't think anyone has specifically announced plans for one, but there was a PCIe case announced by Magma, which can actually handle 3 cards. Absurdly expensive, but they're taking preorders. No word on a launch date, yet.

    MSI GUS.

    Problem is we need an OS X native driver to run external graphics cards.

    Sony has one, but it only works on their laptop.

    Just saw that . They didn't give any timeframe for release though and knowing Apple there won't be any OSX support for quit a while .
