I'm probably not the first person to mention it,
it sounded odd to me at first, MacRumours does it all the time, I still can't get used to it, it's just annoying.
headlines like:
"Mulittouch buttons could remove buttons from iPhone, iPad"
"Adobe gives up on flash for iPhone, iPad"
"SpeakerCraft rolls out speakers for iPad, iPhone, iPod"

Is it just me?
😛

The use of comma splices in news headlines is a long-standing practice initially used to save space.

Newer forms of media like us don't have many of the constraints newspapers used to have on formatting and spacing, but the style remains in common usage.

Thanks, must be an american thing cos I've only ever seen it online, it just sounds wrong & unfinished 2 me, '&' would use as much space and make more sense
