What exactly is the MBP casing made of?

Is it titanium or some sort of metal? Because as many of you know, some guy got shot at in Brazil and his MBP saved his life by stopping the bullet.

i am sure that the story with the MBP was that a friend of the owner accidentally shot it with an airgun..

The MBP is probably shot with a small calibre round. Considering that a M16 round can make a rather significant dent at the back of a 1" thick steel plate, I really find it hard to believe it won't rip a MBP into 1/2.
