What functions were "fixed" in IOS 5.0.1 to up battery life?

I downloaded and installed the fix through iTunes without incident. I'm wondering if anyone here knows what code was changed, what options were changed in the update , to allegedly increase battery life.

Also, in another thread I saw a recommendation to "recalibrate" the battery to get the impact of the update. This is not mentioned by Apple. Is there a changelog and instructions?

I haven't noticed any difference in battery drain since installing 5.0.1.

I was wondering what they changed too. Im just curious as to what exactly caused it.

My battery is definitely a little better, but not too much better. It would be funny if the only thing that has changed is that one of the location services is "off" by default or something.
