It doesn't have to be something from Apple.

I have a Game Boy Color that has become my Tetris machine.

I sometimes think about how I can integrate an old-school Palm PDA into my life again.

Should also have mentioned my wife's mobile. It used to be mine in 2005 but she loves it as it's cheap and she doesn't have to worry about it.

2007 iMac is hanging in there but the monitor is showing signs of dying.

An old ipod clickwheel - I've got it hooked up to some ancient computer external speakers. Last time I touched it was around 2005-I loaded a bunch of songs on it. It has to be plugged in all the time, but I still use it for music in my crafting studio. I think it will last forever.

  • LG Dare Phone
  • SNES, NES, PS2, Sega Genesis (unless we're counting gadgets as portable, in which case cross all these off the list)
  • Mid 2009 Macbook Pro, iPod Touch (unknown year, silver back?)

HP Deskjet printer 990CXi from 1999.
2nd gen iPod nano from 2006.
HP48GX Calculator from who knows when.

olivetti 386... it is 25mhz, originally with 2mb ram until I bought 8 mb more. it has 80mb hdd and it was HUGE... it has been there for the nostalgia and mainly for fun. I do have my c64 too, but I have lost all games (C-cassettes) :(

Let's see. iPod 3rd generation in my garage. 2008 MacBook as media server. iPhone 4 as car iPod. Original iPad in bathroom.

2009 Mac Pro 8-core, 16GB RAM, four 1TB HD's, got Sierra to install, runs like a CHAMP. My everyday work machine.

My mp3 player it just works great could use more storage but other than this no problems

My Mac Pro 1,1 serves me faithfully at work every day, and it is past its 10 year birthday.

I also use a G5 Quad at work and a dual 2.7 G5 at home.

For more of a "fun" machine, I use a PowerMac 9600/200MP, a 1ghz Titanium Powerbook, and a Cube with an 800mhz processor upgrade.

I have a lot of old gear I still use, but here I’ll just mention for very high praise a bunch of 2nd gen nanos still in rotation for use in my car... the car is even older than the iPods, so I use them with an FM transmitter to my car radio. They are my all time favorite iPod I think. But no wonder Apple quit making those particular nanos: they’re practically indestructible even without any kind of case on them.

My beloved iPod classics - one dates to 2008, one to 2010 - both are used regularly (when travelling, by bus, train, plane, and are invaluable companions when working abroad).

And my antique Nokia 3510 - indestructible. And still used daily.

I had something like that - bought second hand - in the early 90s. My first computer. Wow.

And my first laptop - which I got in 1998 - was an Olivetti, a device that was also bought second hand.
