It doesn't have to be something from Apple.

I have a Game Boy Color that has become my Tetris machine.

I sometimes think about how I can integrate an old-school Palm PDA into my life again.

iPod Touch 3 attached to my car.

2009 Mac Pro 8-core, 16GB RAM, four 1TB HD's, got Sierra to install, runs like a CHAMP. My everyday work machine.

I was able to install Sierra on my Mac Pro 4,1 after running the flash updater that updated it to a 5,1. The Sierra installer refuses to install Sierra on a 2009 Mac Pro (4,1) until you trick the installer into thinking it's a 2010 Mac Pro by running the 5 year old flash updater (look for updating 4,1 to 5,1).

The only issue I ran into was that Sierra deleted the library files used by Handbrake to decode Dvds. Handbrake works fine now after reinstalling the libraries.

This thread reminded me to charge up my old iPods - a classic from 2008, (with 80GB - as my iTunes library well exceeds that - at almost 90 GB and growing, I will not be able to synch it again) and a Touch.

My most recent iPod classic - a 120GB, from 2013 - is the one I use daily.

60GB iPod Photo from 2005. It's still kicking in my car. I used to have to use an FM transmitter but with the new car it can connect using USB. I've had to change the battery a few times now but otherwise it's rip top.

Game Boy Advance
iPod Gen 1
eMate 300
Nokia
PSP GO

And even if not as much as I did a couple of years ago , the Nokia 5230 with serves as my go to guy when I need something bought for those hiking days!

My iPod Photo and iPod mini have both had a battery changes and the mini is now sporting a new click wheel and the HD has been replaced by a 128GB SD card.
Those old click wheel iPods were awesome. So easy to work on. I've purchased about 25 of those various Photo/Video iPods on ebay that didn't work, most of them just needed a battery or screen replacement. I probably made $2000 fixing and reselling those things.

I will have to dig my old iPod out of the box and see if will take a charge.

Well, as of now, all three of mine are charged up and ready for action.

However, I don't know how long the charge will hold in the 2008 iPod classic (80GB), and the 2009 iPod Touch (64GB). The limitations on space is the main reason they haven't been used as much as I used to use them - both of those iPods spent years in Georgia with me.

The 2013 iPod classic (120GB) is the one I use regularly and that accompanies me everywhere, - along with my B&W P5 headphones - and is synched as needed. A terrific device.

Good luck with the planned resurrection.

I'm still using the first generation aluminum iMac purchased in August 2007 and a MacBook Pro purchased in January 2008.

My home work computer is an early 2012 iMac with a 2004 23" Cinema Display and a 2007 23" Acer monitor attached to it. The iMac is still going strong. The Acer is fine. The Cinema Display is pretty bad at this point, but it does well enough that I haven't spent the money to replace it yet.

1) 2008 LED Cinema Display - works flawlessly and is immaculate, and the quality control on the panel is sublime

2) Mid-2010 MBP - also works flawlessly, never needed a repair

3) 2009 iPod classic (7th gen, 160 GB single platter) - I've had several of these but none have had such a cool temperatire display panel as this one, so I will never get rid of it. Still get the advertised play time out of it. Although maybe this doesn't count because I think Apple still services it, or at least offers battery service on it.

Well , I was using the 4 gen iPod touch .... which I lost in the movie theater
