Hi,

Okay I know the macbook isnt some sort of gaming machine, however im sure some of you have downloaded or play games on your mac (even if its just the basic snakes?)

So as per the title, what games do you run on the Mac?

Ive only ran Baulders Gate so far. Smooth running.

I play:
  • I Wanna Be the Guy
  • VVVVVV
  • Volgarr the Viking
And I have a copy of Civilization V that I have not downloaded yet. And a few other Steam games that are Mac compatible, such as Broforce.

Mostly old games on an emulator (OpenEmu)

OpenEmu is the bomb on the MacBook, and I've compiled MAME4iOS and loaded it up as well for my iPad Pro with a ton of classics.

One game I wasted tons of quarters on at PlayCade down in Atlantic City was a game called Rad Mobile. So cool to relive it again, without quarters.

So how would more modern classics (if that is even a word) do on this such as PS1, PS2, N64, Gamecube?

I've played a few games on my 2015 rMB, mostly under Wine.

1. Dungeon Siege (via Wine)
2. The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind (via Wine)
3. Fallout (via Wine)
4. StarCraft (via Wine)
5. StarCraft 2 (native MacOS)

The older games (1-4) run beautifully, although Morrowind doesn't honor the caps lock key for running so I have to hold the shift key. StarCraft 2 also runs very well, though the MacBook gets pretty hot and I keep it plugged in as the battery drains pretty quickly otherwise.
