Wow, people aren't utilizing iTunes Match?! I'm actually downsizing, going from a 32 3GS to a 16 4S. When it's all said and done, I'll have saved $50 after two years by not going to a 32 gig phone. It's a good plan from my point of view anyway, especially with the 4S being 14.4 Mbps on AT&T.

i have a 32gb now witch i was halfway full just with music and apps alone but intend to use a lot more video and pics so 64gb will be the next one for me.

I added a poll, for both color and size. I was even nice enough to add an option for all the people who feel the need to tell everyone they aren't buying one :p

I am leaning toward 32 because I am afraid of how much space will be taken up with 8mp pics and 1080p video. I stream all my media so I think I shouldn't need 64.

Black 64 gig, no doubt. I download a ton of games and apps, and I have 160 gigs of music, so I'd like my most recent music downloads on there. My 32 gig iPod Touch 2nd gen filled up with apps pretty quickly before I stepped on it.

That's also why I would neeever buy another phone. I play way too many games. And the 4S appears to have original Xbox-quality graphics.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

1080p video files are BIG. I'm getting the 64.

For those getting 64GB b/c of their music library, why are you not interested in paying $25/year for iTunes Match, which will STREAM all of your music? I don't quite understand

I have to wait until next year, because I have to spend my money on other things. Otherwise, I'd get a black 64GB. I'm hoping that there'll be a 128 GB (unlocked) that'll be offered next year.

Different strokes. Some people love having physical copies, some people have a lot of movies, some people have a lot of music that iTunes Match won't have.

I'm getting the 16GB yet again. Makes no sense for me to get any bigger since I have 5.5GB free on my iPhone 4 with 450+ songs, 109 apps, and 700+ pictures on it. I have a 120GB iPod classic to hold my 85GB and growing music library so I can't fit all my music on the 64GB if I wanted to. So I'll be quite content with a white 16GB. :)

I'm getting the white 16GB, my first iPhone. I have an 80GB iPod Video, so I'm just gonna keep the music I listen to most often on my iPhone, and have my iPod as a backup/what I use to store all my other songs on.

I couldn't use more than 32GB if I actively tried, but I may go with 16GB because the extra would be a bunch of videos and I don't need a giant amount of videos at any given time. I can put that $100 to things that are more important personally like Applecare or Square Trade.

I was set on black but I feel bored of black Apple devices so White has lured me in.

Well, sure. 95% of my library is not on the iTunes store. But iTunes Match will upload and stream anything it doesn't have in the iTunes library.

16 v 32

I'm very exciting to be getting my first iphone, but I'm not sure if I should get 16 or 32. I'm not planning on filling it with a ton of music, and I won't store a lot of photos on there. My concern is taking a lot of pictures and videos. I don't want to be out somewhere and run out of space. Does anyone know how long of a video I could take with, say 8GB? Or, how much space would an hour video take up?

I would just go for the 32, but money is tight, so if I don't need the extra space, I'd prefer to keep the money in my pocket for other things.
Thanks!

A 16G for my wife, a 32G for me - I take a lot of photos, and if the HD video looks good, I'll probably use that frequently also. As other people have said, the storage size is not about the music - we've got terrabytes of it, and sync weekly, so it's more about the photo/video storage.

Color: I think we're both going for white - her for sure and me, probably.

Looking at the black - eh, it's maybe too much like every other black phone and we've both got the black 3GS.

I'm getting a white 64GB. I have a 32 GB iPhone 4 right now and I'm tight on space. I take A LOT of pictures, and those new fandangled 8 MP pics and 1080P videos need some breathing room.
