What gets carried over in a new (from old) Mac install?

I have the current 2013 Retina Macbook Pro.

Planning to buy the upcoming 2016 Macbook Pro.

In the interim, I am going to buy a Macbook next week. Just something with a small footprint that I can travel with. I don't expect the new Macbook Pro will be as thin.

I don't want to port anything over from my current MBP into the Macbook.

I do want my keychain, with all my passwords, ported over.

With a fresh install, logged into my current iCloud account, will all my personal Safari bookmarks and keychain passwords be ported over to the new device without having to do a cabled transfer?

That's the way it's supposed to work if you select Safari and Keychain in iCloud's sync settings.

Make sure you transfer iTunes music and pictures. Don't transfer older software because it might not run in the new Mac.
