Wow, many more left-handers (11 out of 27 so far) on Macrumors than in the general population (where only about 5% are left handed). Or, is it just that left-handers are more likely to vote?

In my family, I am one of three. In my extended family, around 30% of people are left-handed. During my third grade year, they attempted to change my hand and pencil grip using these goofy rubber add-ons to my pens and pencils. It didn't work, and I still have a bizarro grip on writing utensils. However, as a consequence, I got a hand pain from using them that forced me to switch hands in art class (due to the much thicker brushes I preferred using). Into high school, when I began dabbling in water color, I continued to do it right-handed, as it also avoided accidental messes caused by dragging my hand across everything I just painted. This still happens when I use a pencil, which is why I try to use pens with rapid-drying inks.
Did I mention I am also obsessive-compulsive? I hypothesize that this is more prevalent in lefties, but I have no evidence other than supposition.
