Nintendogs teal DS phat (Xmas last year :D)
Star Wars PSP lite (Xmas this year :D)

used to own-
Gameboy
Game Gear
blue NeoGeo Pocket Color (man I miss that thing...SvC + KOF + Metal Slug on the go = heaven)
"glacier" (transparent blue) GBA
silver GBA SP

It was years ago...stopped playing it.
(got a GBA basically ;))

Such a sweet handheld though. Only used 2 AA's, they lasted forever (well, then again it didn't have a backlight :D). Very ergonomic shape, very light.

Ah SNK I will always love you :)
Capcom + SNK will own me forever because of their 2d games...

I have a DS that I never, ever, ever, ever use. Last time I turned it was in February, and that's because I carrying it around to use as a watch.

Yep. And Capcom vs SNK is a fun game!!! :)

I was looking for the Pocket Color and found this for the DS. This one will have a backlight, but won't get 40 hours of play.

did anyone ever have a Sega Nomad?

Nope, had a game gear though, and I once found an original Game Boy in a skip. Working and everything... Funny story about that actually...

I had a friend called 'Dan' he had been playing it, I got bored and was going to sell it to another friend called 'Dan'. As the first 'Dan' had been playing it 'Dan' was already a name in the console. 'Dan' number 2 came to buy it and I managed to convince a him it had finger print recognition.

I was only about 8, good stuff. :)

I sold my game gear to buy my megadrive. :( Which I've sold now too. :(

oh i had a game gear also. i had tons of games. i forgot what i did with it though. probably traded it at a game store or something. i wish i still had my nomad. you could plug another controller in and everything

I soooo wanted a Nomad. It was the coolest thing ever. It was pretty much the Game Boy Advance but ten years before its time - the power of a console in your palm. Proper Sonic on the go.

Ive always been big on handheld gaming. Having owned every version of the gameboy, I own quite a collection. My favourite games include Advance wars and Zelda: Links awakwning.

Right now im really loving the DS, especially castlevania. Games im looking forward to very soon are Advance wars, Contra4, Geometry wars DS, Bleach and Bangai-o spirits. Treasure are the masters of 2d.

My only gripe with DS right now, is the constant output of brain training games. What we really need is Monkey island, Day of the tentacle, Sam and max etc. on a single DS card. Its the perfect console for scumm games.

You can play Scumm with ScummVM DS, you just need one of those flash carts for homebrew...

I used to own a Game Gear but I never got into the Gameboys until the Advance... which I really loved but currently I only own a DS and I'm really wanting a PSP (mainly just for the remake of Rondo of Blood).

The DS is great, I've been spending so much time lately with Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin... and I haven't even fully finished them, co-op boss rush mode in PoR is a blast and these games really make you want to get 100% on them, plus both games are a blast for Castlevania fans with all the references here and there, it's just great. Can't wait for the new DS Castlevania.

I'm seriously considering getting a PSP JUST for Dracula X Chronicles.

As you can probably tell, I'm a sucker for Castlevania

Castlevania is so addictive haha. I was reading about an import of Dracula X chronicles, apparently its a bit of a let down. Cant really pass judgement until I play it of course.

Thanks for the heads up about ScummVM DS, Im looking into it now.

I bought a DS right when it released, then bought a DS Lite right when that released. A GREAT system.

At first I stayed clear of the PSP because it didn't have any games that interested me at all. After a while I was kind of thinking about the PSP, then I saw that guided tour thing of the iPod touch, and immediately forgot about the PSP and went for the iPod touch. In my opinion, I have the best portable gaming machine and the best portable media machine out there. Why have a mediocre combination of both?

You mean this. :) You'll just need to pick up the single DS card that holds the single micro-sd card.

I have it on my DS. I'm currently playing Monkey Island again.

I own and have played/beaten EVERY lucas Arts graphic adventure with the exception of Grim Fandango -- but I own it. I just haven't got to it since it would require me sitting at my PC. :)

I would buy an official DS release from Lucas Arts if they ever came back to their senses and stop vomiting out Star Wars cheese.

The only flaw with ScummVM DS... it can't play The Curse of Monkey Island which is a pretty good game.

But I agree, Lucas Arts should start releasing their adventure games of old, the humor and writing were excellent for most of their games.

That's not a flaw, that's a feature!

The Curse of Monkey Island was more eh than good. It made me laugh in a few areas, but it wasn't even remotely as good as its predecessors, nor was it a real sequel. But at least it wasn't atrocious like Escape from Monkey Island. The only travesty worse than MI3 and MI4, would be Philips misuse of Zelda.

Yeah I hated the graphic style initially and I didn't like what they did with Guybrush and the world of MI but still it wasn't that bad, the game was pretty funny at times and the animation was well done. It isn't as good as Monkey Island I and II but compared to other adventure games, CoMI is still a worthwhile game.

BTW, does anyone know where the Game Boy Micro went? I haven't seen one in stores for about 6 months now...[/COLOR]

GB Micro went kaboom.

Compared to the GBA SP, DS, and everything else, sales were so low, that I dont even think they make it anymore.

It was just too small.

I own one of the original PSP systems back from the launch.

I had one. I bought it just for Phantasy Star 4, since I was going on a road-trip.

I later sold it to a coworker.

I also owned a Game Gear and the two different versions of the Atari Lynx.

yeah i remember having it, but i think i got in trouble and my parents took it back. i think i had it on one camping trip, and that was it :(

Yeah, it was better than the later vomit. :) I played it after having a Hernia Operation. The part where Guybrush is on the boat and his crew is admiring a whale, while the boat is being boarded, had me laughing in pain.

Have you played The Dig? I've beat it 5 times that I recall. It's the only GA I turned around and played right after completing it.
