What happened to Advanced Search?

I just noticed this too. I always use the advanced search option. I hope this isn't further permanent degradation of the search feature.

Like how searching by user name used to sort by last post in the thread not the last time that user posted in the thread.

Things seem to be OK. If you search on

advanced search

you only see the messages in this thread. Also, the regular search will drop you into the advanced search page if the regular search gets no hits.
