Same here mate it's appalling. I think apple is sending us the clearest signal that they intend to retire the imacs.

Neat, another thread to be filled by impassioned reactions to a non action. I'm running out of totally crazy nonsensical things to say. How about "Tim Cook is an Uncle Tom!". Quick, someone mention Hitler, someone else invoke Goodwin, and we can all get back to trying to figure out when the release will be.

Just think, you've wasted six months of your life struggling with whatever computer you have now when for the last six months you could have been enjoying one of the best computers ever made, the 2011 iMac !!!!

I was doing my best to parody the crazy-speak of many posters in the iMac forum today.

Perhaps I went a bit too far?

What did you want them to change?

They are already fast as hell with sandy bridge processors, did you REALLY want them to add ivy bridge and usb3?

Than you would've made a thread complaining that all they added was a faster processor and USB3, MEANWHILE THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO ADD!

Shut up and buy the current model.

Exactly. Who wants current tech? Especially in a computer. Pfft. Faster processors, who needs those?

Anyone else notice that Apple dropped its prices on BTO RAM upgrades for the 27" iMac? Yesterday they wanted $600 for a 4GB to 16GB upgrade. Today they want $300. That's still 3x the going third-party retail rate, though.

Yes, I'd like to see some change. If not, it's about time we see some lower prices. I certainly don't want to pay full price for something that is outdated in just a few months. And if I can't use this forum to spout off some steam, what good is it? Shouldn't Apple know what it's consumers are thinking?
