Scrolling through my movies in iTunes on my Mac, the ones that were upgraded to 4K are now back to HD or lower. It's like someone is flicking a light switch, sometimes they are 4K, sometimes they aren't. I don't get it.
The following movies in my library are now showing up as HD only:
Everest
The Martian
Deadpool
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Kingsman: The Secret Service
Furthermore, Star Trek 2009 is now SD quality. It had previously shown up as 4K as well.
None of these are downloaded to the Mac, they are all in the cloud. They show up on my iPhone X as 4K - HDR or Dolby Vision but not on the Mac iTunes.
Also, I purchased the 4K version of E.T. on UHD blu-ray with a digital copy. This is also how I purchased the above listed movies. The version of E.T. that iTunes gives me is HD 1080p. Why am I not getting the 4K version of this movie like I was with all the others? (when the light switch is on of course).
Between this nonsense and trying to get a digital copy of Spiderman Homecoming (thanks Sony, that's just what I wanted to do was to sign up for ANOTHER movie service), I've about had my limit of digital movie issues.
