What happened to my backup disk?

I installed Lion a month ago or so - and everything went well. So this isn't a new "Lion" issue. About 10 days ago, my backups stopped working. I use an external drive hooked up to Airport.

Time Machine could not complete the backup.
No backup disk has been selected.
Open Time Machine preferences to select a backup disk.

So I open Time Machine Preferences and choose Select Disk. All I see is "Set Up Other Time Capsule". No disk to choose from. Everything looks fine in Airport Utility...

Any ideas?

If I plug one of my backup drives in directly via USB, it works fine.. This must have something to do with Airport...
