Here's an attempt [admittedly, most likely a vain attempt] to get this thread heading in the direction it's originator most likely intended:

Apple has let the PowerBook line languish with older technology for too damn long. We can possibly see a new PowerBook next Tuesday!, but at best it'll be a minor speed bump, possibly in concert with better GPU and a standard 5400 drive speed. This leaves it well short of it's heritage, in some eyes at least.

So what's it going to be this summer/fall? Dual-core G4 with a RAID 0, or a G5 with a radically new case design?
