OP, are you saying that the Shift key is no longer highlighted when engaged and that the Caps Lock key no longer shows blue to note that it is in use? 😕

Dictating 'full stop' using British English does the punctuation mark.

So, it turns out if one has their Siri language set to any English other than US, the . becomes a period & "full stop" is the order of the day. Changed it back to English (United States) and all is back to normal.
