um, can we stop contributing to helping this person weasel out of his contract?

but you still keep the iphone right?

Yes - I presume that will be the case - they would just demand the money that they are entitled to via the contract. They cannot demand the phone if you did not buy it from them - you bought contracted server for a phone, not the phone itself.

You can keep the phone after 30 days but unless you pay ETF +whatever you owe, you credit will be forever screwed. Perhaps you're an international student who's not coming back to US after your study??? :D

Misunderstood??????

All of his posts are about something weird:

Beating someone up - seeing someone beat up - jailbreaking - stealing software...

He's all talk. No substance.

Someone needs to intervene here.

Life is hard on the stupid. Best of luck to you.

As an aside, am I the only one between the ages of 25 and 35 with a significant amount of savings? I often wonder what folks like this are planning to do when they are older and have nothing to retire on. Public assistance can't save an entire generation. I truly don't understand only being able to afford either a 13" w/ phone or a 15" w/o phone. If you can't plunk down the cash for both a 15" and a phone right this second, then you need to stop pissing away your money and start saving a good number of years ago.

This is the same chucklehead who took his iPod Touch to an Apple store and asked them to jailbreak it for him. And yes, he freely admits to using a cracked app installer.

Yeah, you're right about that too. I didn't see the part about stealing software though. I guess this is our iphonetoday today.

Hahahaha. I was going to say that about iphonetoday, too, but I didn't know if the others would remember.

AppleNewYork said in a previous post that he wasn't going to pay for any software or something like that.

He's just a little thief who thinks he can get away with something.

Someone needs to tell him that Karma is a btich sometimes.

Are not you glad our hard earned money the goverment takes (taxes) goes to bailout people with this kind of mentality.

Namecalling is the lowest form of insult.

Man up - you said we misunderstood you. Explain yourself...

I ask a hypothetical question and i get jumped by a pack of nerds.

So, you never mention that this is hypothetical and we all assume you already have the phone. Hmm ...

Anyway, if it's an iPod Touch /w camera that you want, perhaps you should save your money for a few months and wait and see if the current rumors hold true for a hardware update this fall.

LMAO...holy iphone dude.....who the hell post a thread about going to an apple store to get your touch jailbroken. Man what a funny thread.

From this nerd, you are now bunny-worthy (please don't steal it or beat it up)

Are you an international student? If you are then you won't worry about your credit history (if you are leaving soon). if you are not then this is what you could do. (Although i don't encourage you and strongly advice you not to do it)

1)You get the phone
2) you jail break and unlock the iphone
3) you stop paying for the iphone
4)you screw you credit history..and i mean you screw it for all your future mortgage applications, credit cards, and things like that.
4) you leave the country for good
5) you are outside the U.S
6) you apply for asylum in the UK and any one of the north European countries (let's say Sweden)
7) you get rejection from Sweden
8) The UK accept your application

That's it. Now, you are in the UK with the precious MIGHTY iPhone. From here you can start over untill the next iphone comes ;)

I think you should try getting this iPhone. Go for it!! :)

It's not that I want to help you. I don't. I just want to see your finances ruined forever. I don't know how others feel about it, but it would certainly amuse me.

Yes, make sure you move to Scotland. ;)

I prefer geek, it sounds more unisex.

That said, I doubt this was hypothetical. The way you present yourself and you plan is in such a way that tells a logical person such as myself that you have no real intent on fulfilling your contract. Personally, I think it would a great lesson for you to learn and a very expensive one. The savings you realize later in life by having good credit will exceed the cost of the iPhone at least 100 times over. Your little "hypothetical" plan is a poor plan that will eventually get you a phone or iPod with camera, but the damage you do will stick with you well into the 6th gen iPhone.

Your question was not hypothetical but the idea of screwing your credit up is stupid.
