I know this sounds like a stupid question, but what happens if you quickly hold a lighter to an iPhone screen?

Would it burn or leave a stain? Or would it just wipe away?

The reason I ask is because I know the screen is glass and glass shouldn’t really burn from a lighter. I’m debating it with my buddy and he thinks it would get messed up and I don’t think it would (in short burns).

Not sure if those people who test durability have any videos just to see what happens.

The glass screen has a coating on it. If you're confident that it won't be damaged by trying to burn it, go right ahead.

If you use normal lighter nothing will happen but i decided to use jet lighter and now i have one rough matte spot on my screen which is making me mad and I don’t know if theres a way to remove it. Im thinking of trying to polish it with car wax but I don’t know

It will burn and leave a stain... you've never watched JerryRigEverything on YouTube? He literally shows what happens when you do that.

Wax won't do it you need something a little stronger like TCut!
