What happens when Time Machine drive fills up?

    I'm sure this has been covered but I couldn't seem to form the proper querry.

    Does Time Machine keep going when the drive reaches capacity (and just start deleting the oldest files to make room for new ones) or do you have to either swap out the drive or manually erase old files?]

    It will automatically start deleting the oldest files.
