What happens when you deactivate your phone?

    Hey.

    As the title leads. Can you activate it later with the carrier?



    And how do you do it by the way?

    What model iphone and carrier?
    All you have to do it activate it later is put the sim in.

    Iphone 4s, telenor Sweden.

    Im returning an old iphone for an samsung galaxy S3 but the company said I couldnt do it if I activated the phone.

    Now I want to deactivate it, restore by itunes and lie by saying that i didnt start the iphone.

    You mean
    1. Full restore in iTunes
    2. The screen will be turned on with the sim inside. But I take out the sim.
    3. Turn of the phone
    4. Hand it in
    ?

    But what happens exactly?
