what happens when you update your ipad to ios 5?

when you backup your ipad, does it backup everything? When you download ios 5 will you lose all your app data?

Backup saves everything, just sync ur ipad to itunes when ios is done and it'll sync everything back the way it was in your ipad. just make sure you select and not set as new device, which will cause you to loose everything.

And the cache loads old pages instead of the current page, going to 5 has ruined my IPad or at least Safari and that's 90% of what's its for.

OP, just wait till Apple gets this right or like me, you will be sorry.
